About the Organisation
The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) was established in 1936 and was awarded the ‘deemed to be university’ status in 1964. TISS is fully funded by the University Grants Commission, Government of India, and operates from its main campus in Mumbai, and the off-campuses at Tuljapur, Guwahati, and Hyderabad.
About the Competition/Event/Opportunity
Applications are invited from interested scholars with Masters and/ or Ph.D. degrees in Social Sciences for the position of Professor in its School of Vocational Education, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai.
Professor (School of Vocational Education, Mumbai Campus) (01)
Postgraduate and Ph.D. in Social Sciences, Public Health Administration, Education, Education Administration, Management Sciences, and allied disciplines, with expertise and experience in multidisciplinary education (such as Vocational education, Vocational Technology Education,) and management of large educational organizations or programs with interdisciplinary subjects.
A minimum of ten years of teaching/work experience in university/ industries, with evidence of integrated curricula development that enhances academic and generic skills, to a diverse group of students.
Proven ability to build networks locally, regionally, and internationally in the field of vocational education.
Proven ability to design curricula in any of the multi-disciplinary courses offered as vocational courses for B.Voc degree.
