Online Internship Opportunity at Parichay: Apply by September 30

About the Organisation

Parichay is a legal aid clinic set up in collaboration with law schools across India to assist persons excluded from the National Register of Citizens in Assam. They are working with lawyers and paralegals in Assam to assist them through the NRC appeals process, while also building research and documentation on issues surrounding citizenship laws in India. Our core areas of work are litigation assistance, documentation, research and publishing a blog/newsletter.

About the Competition/Event/Opportunity

Parichay’s blog will solicit and publish scholarly writing, interviews, essays, and short explainers on issues relating to citizenship in India and the Global South. A newsletter will be sent with periodic updates on the latest news on citizenship and allied issues from around the globe.

Design volunteers will have the following tasks:

Contribute and curate images and illustrations for the Parichay blog.

Design a monthly newsletter.

Maintain the Parichay website and blog.

Volunteers will be credited for their work on the site.

Number of Vacancies

They are currently inviting applications for three student design volunteers.


Work from home


Must commit to volunteering with Parichay for at least six months.

Should be familiar with design software (e.g. InDesign, Photoshop, GIMP, Illustrator etc.)

Important Dates

Apply by September 30

Can start work from September 12, 2020.

Interested students should write to contact[at] and darshana[at] with a short note (of less than 250 words) detailing their interest in Parichay; their CVs; and two samples of their design work by September 30, 2020.


Volunteers will be credited for their work on the site.

Other Details

Knowledge of UI/UX and/or web development is an advantage.
